Centers For New Horizons is a non-profit, community based organization in the Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago. We are seeking a part-time architectural interns to provide project assistance and management under direct supervision of an Architect. The job position includes opportunities to build IDP hours and experience.

We are currently working to redesign & renovate one of our buildings that was built in the late 1800s. (Please see overview below)

-Be able to work well with others in a diverse, open-office environment

-Assist in the selection of fixtures, furnishings and equipment (FF&E)
-Create finish schedules, compile specifications, and assemble preliminary budgets
-Assist in generating presentations, design review packages, and material boards
-Generate drawings, including plans, sections, elevations and details
-Assist in filing project documentation, reports, data sheets, specifications, etc.
-In collaboration with the interior design and architectural team, assist with basic space planning, layouts, finish plans and elevations

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Architecture (preferred)
-Proficiency in AutoCad- excellent drafting skills
-Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop- excellent graphic design skills
-Microsoft Office
-Ability to multitask
-Proficiency with Revit &/or SketchUp also a plus
