GIS is a non-governmental community of volunteer research analysts interested in the comparative analysis of historical and contemporary geopolitics.

By honorable completion of the volunteer agreement, our interns will receive the following upon request:

- Frequently collaborates with other team members, brainstorming on website design needs
- Analyzes progress and sets a plan in motion for website theme
- Provides subject-matter expertise and creative feedback for theme ideas
- Takes direct action and integrates layout plan into process
- Reviews progress and corrects potential flaws in design layout

Minimum Requirements:

- U.S. Citizen
- Working towards a degree or certificate in Computer Science / Web Development / Web Design / Graphic Design
- Some experience with Graphic Design & Website Design
- Available for 3 months, at least 4 hours per week

Preferred, but NOT required:

- Students pursuing a degree or certificate in Homeland Security, Intelligence Studies, Foreign Area Studies, Military Studies, Cyber Warfare, Political Science, History/Anthropology
- Students conversational in a critical language: Arabic, Chinese, Dari, Indonesian, Korean, Kurdish, Persian (Farsi), Pushto (Pashtu), Russian, Turkish, Urdu
- Students proficient in Forum Administration / Forum Design / Theme Layout (HTML/CSS)
