Our program exposes kids ages 4 - 14 to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) concepts.
We visit different schools every day throughout Greater Houston.

Each day, you will travel to a different school, and will meet with the same group of students over the entire semester.
You will be a co-teacher in a classroom with 7-20 students, along with a Lead Teacher - who will bring along their classroom management tricks... I mean skills :-) Unless of course, YOU ARE THE LEAD TEACHER!
You will guide the students through a hands-on project, while they use their own minds to come up with a solution.
You will then explain the challenge/game in which they will test and improve their solution.
Curriculum covers: Aerospace, Chemical, Civil, Environmental, Electrical, Game Design (Software), Industrial, Lego Robotics, Marine, and Mechanical Engineering.
We build engineers, not just robots.

MUST BE ON TIME ! (You can even get a $50 bonus for it!)
MUST GET ALONG WITH ELEMENTARY AGED CHILDREN :-)
MOST IMPORTANTLY.... MUST SHOW UP (so, you will need reliable transportation)!
MUST HAVE A GOOD GPA (Your school work comes first! So unless you have the grades to prove you agree, we will not distract you with this opportunity!)
We even have a "No miss" policy: never miss important family or school events (includes test weeks). Shift-swapping in your hands!
Other benefits:
*Training provided. *Videos to help with preparation.
*No planning time (lesson plan and supplies provided) - just prep time.
*No grading. *No parent conferences. *Low student to teacher ratios.
*Supportive discipline policy. Distractions to class are not tolerated.
*Shifts assigned by employee preference (location & days). Swapping available.
*Leadership opportunities: Program improvement team; Program improvement lead; Instructional lead (peer reviews and coaching). ***more resume opportunities***
