Pattycakez® is currently looking for highly motivated self-starters for our offsite entertainment editorial department.

Selected candidates will be assigned urban entertainment writing assignments including news, movie reviews, and interview with celebrities and executive throughout the many facets of the entertainment industry.

Candidate should have a working knowledge or be in school for Film/Video/Multimedia Production, or of similar degree. You must have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, professional and able to work with a creative team and clients on a daily basis.

A talented and creative camera operator/video editor should be able to learn and approach projects with the vision of the producer and director. We are looking for someone that would like to learn how to help tell compelling stories through video. Successful candidates will thrive on challenge, flourish in a dynamic environment and excel at producing professional-quality videos for an array of media formats. We provide hi def cameras, professional lighting and sound equipment, and other tools for the candidate to learn on.

- Assists in the design and development of layouts for marketing materials, using appealing graphics that are well organized
- Responsible to incorporate current design trends into each unique layout to produce an up-to-date style for custom ads
- Ability to exercise good judgment when interpreting instructions and to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
- Utilize strong written skills and bring effective visual ideas from concept through to completion

Knowledge in operating a variety of camera setups, and audio equipment.
Strong knowledge in the video editing process
Strong knowledge utilizing popular post-production applications such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere and similar programs
Practicing digital video post-production skills (motion graphics, etc.)
Proactive problem solving, both technically and creatively, with constant attention to process improvement
Calm under pressure with the ability to maintain productivity under changing deadlines
Flexibility to re-adjust priorities within fast-paced project time frames.
Superior project management and time management skills, and possess excellent organizational and planning skills.
A wide degree of creativity and latitude

- Working towards a BA or certificate from a Fine Arts program/Graphic Design school
- Experience with Adobe After Effects Adobe InDesign, and proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
- Knowledge of Mac OS and software upgrades and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Must be a team player and flourish in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Open to constructive criticism and customer feedback
