The intern will support the Director and learn about basic concepts of radiofrequency spectrum allocation, spectrum sharing, interference analysis, and the international governing bodies that regulate access to spectrum globally. This position requires a well-rounded individual who is interested in how technology, business, and law interact. This is not a purely technical position.

Data gathering, entry, and analysis
Conduct basic interference analyses that apply concepts, using readily available software tools
Learn to use specialized software tools used in conducting engineering analyses
Research domestic and international laws, rules, and regulations that specify how spectrum may be used
Ad hoc requests

Education:
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
Preferred qualifications: Master degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Telecommunications or RF Theory

Skills:
Excellent command of MS Office package (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)
Language skills: English; French is considered an advantage (not required)
Good communication skills, both in writing and verbal
Programming in Matlab or comparable language
Experience with STK is a bonus
