We are looking for an intern, who wants to learn what it takes to run a fashion business. Someone who is an organized problem solver. Ideal candidate is fashion forward and familiar with current trends. This internship is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to learn the ropes at a smaller company & can wear many hats. One who wants to learn ins & outs of everything fashion! This internship program is intended to be educational, inspirational, and purposeful. At the end of the program interns should have a significant list of accomplishments to add to their resume and set them apart from other candidates in their field.

The Intern will assist and support the Sr. Designer in the design and development of concepts into finished product. Responsibilities include conducting raw material research, market research, flat sketches and fashion illustration, detailed specs, and fabric/trim research and allocations. They will communicate with vendors and follow through on sample development.

This is an unpaid internship however you do receive invaluable experience. Intended to last five months. With room to grow into a part- time paid internship.

Requirements:
• Currently studying Apparel or Fashion Design
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Excel, Photoshop and Illustrator and knowledge of CAD - a plus
• Ability to do flat drawings/sketches for design and prototypes - a plus
• Experience in Women's Design - a plus
*Sewing, Pattern making and Draping Skills - a plus
