UCP is a non-profit agency that provides support, education and therapy services to 3000+ children with and without disabilities in Central Florida. Additionally, we run our BETA program - a program for teen mom's and their high risk babies. We are seeking interns to provide counseling, parenting and life skills classes and general support for the teens.
업무내용
The program will include the following elements:
1) Activities to build self-confidence, self-esteem and improve decision making.
2) Independent living, personal finance and life skills development
3) Parenting Skills and Child Development Training to learn about the growth of children from birth through childhood. It targets the physical, social, emotional and cognitive aspect of development. Parenting skills will include communication techniques, childhood literacy, discipline issues and establishing routines with their children.
4) Referals for Developmental Screenings for babies
5) Individual and Group supportive counseling to support pregnancy and parenting-related issues
6) Case Management/Information and Referral services
