Opportunity to assist a self-taught private celebrity chef (bysarahashley.com) who has recently launched a startup lifestyle brand and working on a retail store.

In addition to assisting with creating recipes for the Salt House site and events, you will also assist with the production of cooking classes and private catering events. Responsibilities include food shopping, menu planning, kitchen prep, assisting with meal service, event design, and clean-up.

You will learn a great deal about working as a private chef, cooking, the catering business, recipe/content creation/blogging, food styling, prop styling, and building a social media presence.

Hours and timing are flexible. Transportation stipend available, and lots of food perks. School credit is also available. Opportunity for a paid position for the right candidate.

Based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Must be located in NYC this spring (2016).
